For Crossroads • Thresholds • Liminal Moments
There are moments when we find ourselves standing between, when one path has ended, but the next has not yet revealed itself.
Our Mullein Witch Torches are created for these liminal spaces.
Each set contains two hand-dipped mullein torches, made with a blend of blue beeswax and soy wax. Every torch is dipped repeatedly, slowly building layers of wax around the dried mullein stalk before being finished with rose and lavender petals.
The pair represents the nature of the crossroads: the path behind and the path ahead, departure and becoming.
Light them during times of transition, difficult decisions, endings, or ritual work centered around crossroads and thresholds. They may be burned together to mark the crossing of a threshold, or separately, one to honor what is being left behind and the other to welcome what comes next.
Mullein has a long history in European folk tradition as a plant associated with illumination and torch-making.
Made with:
Dried Mullein • Blue Beeswax • Soy Wax • Rose Petals • Lavender Petals
Sold as a set of two.
Mullein torches are ritual torches, not conventional candles. Their flame can become large, and fast moving, particularly as it reaches dried plant material and petals. Burn only outdoors or in a large fire-safe vessel on a nonflammable surface. Keep well away from clothing, hair, herbs, paper, pets, children, and other combustible materials. Never leave a burning torch unattended.
At the crossroads, you don’t need to know the whole path. Sometimes you only need enough light to choose the next step.
